staff19-20

I have been teaching in Friends schools since 1999. I was drawn to Quaker education because I am passionate about working out conflicts, building community, and fostering meaningful respect for each person. I love working with children as they learn, grow, and discover the world. A key aspect of my teaching philosophy centers on finding different ways to approach a problem or situation. I love children’s books and sharing stories with my students.

When I am not at school, I enjoy cooking and hiking with my family (including a daughter who attended LFS for five years). I sew quilts and create paper crafts when I can find the time. Practicing yoga helps me re-center and keep flexible in body and mind. Time spent outdoors is always time well spent.
